Disney and Pixar Strike Again!

Okay. So my last promise of keeping up on this blog didn't go too well. But I'm still here!

WARNING!  There will be a few SPOILERS in this post.

So I went and saw Monster's University and I loved it! There were great characters the plot was surprising and interesting and it was just overall an amazing movie! I loved the character Squishy. Squishy was funny and interesting and I loved watching him dance! Also, all the OK members were funny. I loved Don at the ending when he decided to marry Squishy's mom. "Don't think of me as your dad, think of me as your brother who's marrying your mom!" Anyway, the characters were great, I was NOT suspecting anything that happened and half way through the movie I thought, "Well at least I know they'll be okay because they have their scaring jobs at Monsters Inc." But I was so surprised by the ending. Anyway, the characters are great and funny and the movie was just brilliant! If you haven't seen it already, go out and see it!

Okay. So you've probably seen the commercials for Monsters University. It comes out in June and I can't wait to see it. I haven't found any summaries of the movie or anything as the movie hasn't come out yet, but here is what I believe it is about based on the trailers, and based on fact.

The story is about Mike Wazowski and how he meets Sulley at college. They are assigned roommates and they are both Scaring Majors. Sulley is a jockey, big, clumsy, and a bit lunatic. Whereas, Mike, is very intelligent, and a bit nerdy. Sulley is a bit jealous of Mike's brains and how well he does in school. They make new friends, go on new adventures, and although they were not good friends at first, Mike and Sulley will work together to defeat a common enemy.

Although I cannot confirm this, I have suspension that this is how the movie will play out. Now you may be wondering why there was no SPOILER warning at the beginning of this post. Well, since this is only a prediction on how the movie will play out, it is most definitely not a spoiler. So, I hope if you go and see the movie, you enjoy it. I, hopefully, will see the movie myself and if I do, I will most definitely post a review and summary of the movie. So, enjoy the movie!

Hey. I know it's been a while since my last post. I've been a little busy so sorry for that. One of my newest Disney related news is that I've met Ridley Pearson the author of the Kingdom Keeper series. For those who don't know what that is, first things first. If you like Disney, try it. The Kingdom Keepers is a story of 5 kids who are holograms/guides for the Disney parks. (No these holograms (sadly) do not really exist) The soon realize with the help of an Imagineer Wayne, that they can awake in the Disney parks as their holograms. They go on many adventures with their friends and continue to get added to different Disney World Parks and more. The newest Kingdom Keeper book, (KK6: Dark Passage) has just come out April 2, 2013. I went to a Barnes and Noble the day after the release and heard him talk about the book and sign books. One of the first observations you can make of Ridley, he is the nicest person. When he came out, he personally shook the hand of every audience member he could reach. The second thing, he is not only the nicest person, he is also the funniest. We could have sat for hours just hearing him talk. He is amazing. Also, fun fact: Ridley Pearson is in a band with Stephen King, Amy Tan, Dave Barry, and some other famous people I can't remember like the guy who created the Simpsons. Okay, off of that, he is so nice to the fans and supports them to the fullest. He's even created a new website where the fans can vote on what happens in KK7, where we can share fanfiction, and more! Check out: http://www.kingdomkeepersinsider.com/  KK6 is an amazing book and I completely recommend it. Although, I will say that there were some things that even Ridley knew was going to get him trouble with  the fans. Have fun with KK6 and the Kingdom Keepers series!

Warning! this article contains content from the new Disney/Pixar movie Brave.
*Spoilers!!!* The new Disney movie Brave came out just two days ago and it is a success! The new princess Merida is an adventurous, trouble-maker who is brave and adventurous like her father, the king, passionate like her mother, the queen, and trouble like her brothers. Merida is a favorite of mine and she is not very open to suggestions but likes to follow her own path and find her own fate. Her brothers (triplets) are adorable and love to cause problems. They have very big appetites and they have various secret passages around the castle. They are willing to help Merida because they are family but, it comes with a price. They mostly ask for food. Merida's mother, the queen, has a future set for Merida even if Merida doesn't want to have it happen. She strives for perfection and  tries to make Merida be the perfect princess. Fergus, Merida's father, the king, is a fun loving father with a HUGE appetite. He wants so much to avenge his leg that was eaten by the legend bear Mordue.
Although Merida and her mother don't see eye to eye always, when Merida accidentally turned her mother in to a bear they try to fix it and they finally realize what each other sees. The movie was good but I defiantly think that the transformations and such could have been a bit better. Over all I would give the movie 4.5 stars out of 5.

The new Art of Animation Resort has finally came out with it's new Nemo section! Just yesterday the resort opened to guest and it looks amazing! There is a great view of the next section to come out, the Cars section! The nemo section also has a pool with jelly-fish squirters, jelly-fish lamps, a seating area and three beds (including a couch that turns into a bed). The rooms look fantastica and I can't wait to see the next parts for the Art of Animation Resort!
Test Track is getting a new look! Test Track ( now closed for the renovations) is changing into a more interactive experience where you can design and customize your own car and then put it through the test! Afterwards you can star in a commercial with your new car. This ride is supposed to come out in fall 2012.

On new Disney info, Disney has torn down Toontown to expand Fantasyland. The Barnstormer is really the same but it is supposed to be a part of a Storybook Circus. There is also (Available now) ride just like the old Dumbo one but it will have two layers of Dumbo's! Disney is not done with all the renovations to the new Fantasyland but it is planned to be a section for each princess like the Beast's castle for Belle and the Seven Dwarf's Mine for Snow White. As I mentioned before, there will also be a Storybook Circus featuring, The Great Goofini, and Dumbo! About half the Storybook Circus is open and I would going to Disney when the whole thing is complete in we think late 2012 like the cast member said above.
